Dr. Bendorf is board-certified in General Surgery. He earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He completed his General Surgery residency at Mercy Catholic Medical Center.
He is a member in the Iowa Medical Society and the Iowa Medical Political Action Committee. Dr. Bendorf, and his wife Kaci, have three children; two daughters and one son.

Robert Cunningham, MD, an Irishman who came to the Midwest – and grew to love it – during his general surgery residency, initially thought he might become a plastic surgeon. But it was residency that introduced him to unique patient population and unveiled his true passion. His clinical interests include primary and revisional weight loss surgery, foregut procedures and abdominal hernia repair. To each patient, he vows to bring his “A game” to the clinic and operating room daily.
Dr. Cunningham is a self-proclaimed dog lover – he has two. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and watching rugby.
