Maintenance Mechanic
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of facility buildings, grounds, and equipment. This position performs preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and general maintenance duties to ensure efficient operations and a safe environment for employees, patients, visitors, and residents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs and maintenance on building systems, equipment, and grounds to ensure safe and effective operations.
- Respond promptly to work orders and maintenance requests throughout the facility.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and routine inspections of equipment and building systems.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and data communication systems as needed.
- Assist with lawn care, landscaping, and grounds maintenance activities.
- Perform snow and ice removal duties to maintain safe access for employees, patients, visitors, and residents.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
- Follow all safety procedures and organizational policies while performing maintenance duties.
- Assist with special projects and complete other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- One-year certificate from a college or technical school preferred; or three to six months of related maintenance experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of building maintenance systems and repair techniques.
- Basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and grounds maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues effectively.
- Strong attention to safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and perform physical labor for extended periods.

Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening.
- Successful completion of a background check.
