New Director of Marketing/Development

We are pleased to announce that the hospital has added Lynda Cruickshank to the staff as the new Marketing/Development Director. Lynda will coordinate the promotion of specialty clinics, organize community wellness programs and assist the fundraising efforts of the Hospital Auxiliary and Foundation.

We are very excited for this opportunity to bring Lynda onboard. Many times people only attribute advertising to a marketing position, however, that couldn't be further from the truth. A Director of Marketing/Development has many other responsibilities, such as, coordinating marketing efforts so that they align with strategic initiatives.

As part of those responsibilities, Lynda will be coordinating our Community Benefits Program, assisting in identifying, prioritizing and collecting data concerning the health needs of the community, ensuring the public is aware of the services we currently provide and letting you know of any new services that come along.

Lynda has served as a volunteer on the Hospital Foundation Board and on the Board of Directors in the past, so she already had a good feel for the mission and purpose of a not-for profit Critical Access Hospital.

Lynda brings to the position many years of experience in working with community and economic development. In Fremont County, she has worked as a financial planner and volunteered as the President of the Fremont County Economic Development Board (FREDCO).

A graduate of Iowa State University, Lynda obtained a Master's degree in Consumer Economics and Finance. She spent twelve years working for the University of Nebraska Cooperative Extension coordinating educational programs, writing grants, and serving on the Rural Development Commission. She also spent five years working in the Trust Department of a bank where she became familiar with trusts, estates planning and foundations.

Lynda is married to Gregg Cruickshank who is the Superintendent of schools in Sidney. They have two children: daughter Kara is a junior at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and son Casey is a Senior at Sidney Community Schools.
