Prior to becoming a physician, Dr. Maureen Boyle never imagined she would one day have a career in the medical field. She initially started out in the business world as a bank auditor. After some time, however, she felt auditing was a job involving very little interaction with people. Wanting to connect more with others, she volunteered at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and immediately fell in love with medicine. Realizing health care was her true calling, she decided she would one day directly help others as a physician. Dr. Boyle went on to attend medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She later completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency training at the Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. Today, she is an OB-GYN doctor at Methodist Physicians Clinic in Council Bluffs. Just as she had set out to do, Dr. Boyle now works with a wide range of patients every day. Her mission is to develop trust with each person by implementing the "mother-sister-daughter" rule in her practice -- treating every patient as if she were treating her own mother, sister or daughter. She cares deeply for her patients, and strives to provide the best possible care. |
